did you change the options in audio to digital out? and what game are you playing, COD2 doesnt use the center channel

The only thing that will output to anything but the left and right speakers is stuff encoded in Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS...

Which means full retail games and some DVD movies...

the center channel is typically reserved for dialog of characters on screen... so I'd recomend playing a DVD to check the sound...
