I don't think it's a DLP related issue.  My 46" Toshiba DLP has no lag.

Thats why I said try another manufacturer besides samsung. I don't believe its necessarily a problem with DLP itself but with samsungs line of DLP's.

At the moment Sony is at the top of the list as far as LCD Rear Projection goes according to most websites. But I tried 44" version of that TV along side the Panasonic LCD Rear Projection and as far as games goes the Panasonic just looked a little better.  But when I was just looking at Monday Night Football HD and ESPN HD a didn't notice a difference at all. I would honestly recommend the Sony. But you are going to pay a little more than other brand names because of the Sony name. But whatever you do atleast test the tv out in the store with your video games to make sure it suits your needs because in the end only your opinion truly matters.

I have this TV and like it a lot. You have to put up with a bit of screendooring, but when get into a game or movie you don't notice it. Blacks and refresh time on it are more than acceptable for an RPLCD.

lcd technology is bad IMHO, LCOS is not living up to what it was supposed to either with its silk screen effect+no true blacks

really for PQ CRT is end all, LCD is about the lowest end of the HD PQ chain
