Creatign A Vga Cable Mod

hey i can't find the vga cable mod, that I saw before, I'm trying to make my own, cuz I see it as being cheaper and helps me keep up my solderign skill.  I know i've seen a layout in one of the threads but can't remember... I knwo there's one on softlifes blogspot but i don't really get it.  any info would help a real good tutorial would be nice.  thanks for your time  biggrin.gif

Alright I cut up my component HD/AV cable and made one.  I tried it on my lcd, the picture is abd all staticky and the color is all messed up, am I using the right wires?  or do i need a certain kind?  or it doesn't matter what type of wiring i use? and my connection isn't probably connected fully?  I don't know gonan retry it but get back to me. thanks
