I dont need optical, so as long as the picture is good..

i disagree. everyone who has bought one so far, and wanted optical, has stated that the advertising said it had optical. and it doesnt, thats a well known fact (around here) now.

so yeah, id say its Pelican's fault. they shouldnt have the optical port there at all if its not supported.

dont know if im allowed to post the web address of the listing but it was stated 3 times in his listing that it has optical out.

seller has now offered $5 refund which is pathetic since it cost me $38 for a $15 cable as im in UK and cant get one over here for love nor money!

picture quality is excellent got it runnin 1280*768 on a 26" TFT just annoyed i cant use my 1000W home theatre system

did a bit of research on the web and have noticed that it may be available with and without an optical port.

buy a phono jack from your local electronics store and wire it up for digital coaxial audio...

it's cheaper and easier than optical, and some people claim it even has better quality.

thats what i was about to suggest. i dont trust optical, the technology just isnt advanced enough for consumer use. id be using coaxial every time.

well that means that it has been shipped and it is out of m$'s hands. if it says it will arrive next week, then it should.

yeah, i dont think it is a real bad problem. if you have a new monitor (like mine), some have an "auto" function, where it sets all the properties for the display by itself. its magic, and it gets it ring 99% of the time

ive heard that the brightness is a problem with the hardware but dont quote me on that. maybe a live updat in the future will resolve this issue?

Just opened my VGA cable, and was ready to hook it into my KVM in place of my
XBox1, and they got MALE ends on the cable... and no F/F adapter. What kinda krap
is that?

Now I have to get a f/f extension cable on top of this that is going to make my
picture look like crap? Those are hard to find.. Tigerdirect doesnt even carry them..

I just called walmart and they will take it back w/the receipt... looks like I got what I paid for!

I saw in another thread that the M$ cable comes w/the converter.
I didnt want to fart around with this anymore, so I took the Pelican back to Walmart
(had to eat the shipping costs) and went to gamestop and bought a M$ cable.
Now I'm a happy gamer on my 19" Viewsonic,
but have an issue with my KVMs cutting my 360's picture off when the PC is powered down.
