Hdmi- Can The 360 Output Digital?

You all need to Go REREAD the sticky and re-educate yourselves

HDMI and DVI are the ONLY digital video cables available today

VGA is NOT digital

Component is NOT digital

etc etc etc

The equipment required to convert an analog video signal into a digital video signal costs about $250 AT THE CHEAPEST... considering that cable is 1/10th the price I HIGHLY doubt it's doing one iota of conversion on anything. Even if it WAS converting the signal it would still be higher quality then VGA and the cable is half the price of a VGA cable (so buy the damn thing already)

MS stated pre-launch that the console would be capable of digital video output in HDMI...

I've yet to see any digital video cable for any console ever made... if one becomes available for the 360 it will be a first.

And someone said that  "The Xbox 360 does not output a digital signal at this time"...what would you call the fiber optic audio output?

I meant video signal.

Regardless of whether or not the system will provide the ability to use HDMI, there's no gaurantee that HDMI will look better on your display.

I already stated that.  Hooking up a DVI cable in place of component on our TV (61" DLP) showed very little improvement.  Yes I saw a difference (gradients blended better... there was less grain), but no one would notice had they seen it before and never knew I changed the cable.
