Well, I for one would like to say thanks to 195 for this topic, as well as HIS OTHER ONE regarding HD CRTs.  I lucked out and found the JVC AV-34WP84 (and I practically stole it!).  Good reccomendation! beerchug.gif

this thread...makes my head hurt if you take this over to avsforum.com the OP will get ripped apart. I wouldnt say they are a retard. I wouldnt say they are wrong. I would the misinforming with disinformation.

Oh and just a side note. Not all upscaling chips suck...there is a hand full out there that do it well...very damn well.

Additionally not all RPCRT / CRT tvs accept 720p and up convert. Mine accepts all three so no worries but the parents philips does not 480p/1080i and 1080i looks on par with my 1080i and their 1080i obviously blows the doors off my 720p
