I got a 32 inch advent HDTV for about 300 US in april. high def looks beautiful and all my games and movies look great.

I have a Sony 34XS955...you cannot beat the picture on this tv, let me tell you.  Super Fine Pitch tube kicks ass and DRC gets rid of any imperfection.  Man, I cannot wait til Tuesday!!!

i'm thinking about the 28" Sanyo HDTV from walmart. the $497 pricetag is very appealing, plus i've heard good things about it.

Jeez, I didn't realize so many of you are actually jumping on the HD wagon so early. If it makes that much difference, I guess I know what I'm using my Christmas money for.

I purchased an HDTV this summer to double as my computer monitor.  You can get reasonably good deals on them on eBay if you know where to shop.  I recommend an LCD or plasma personally.  Wall mounts are sexy as hell.

Actually this is my 2nd HD they have been out for years now, I have had HD since.....5 years ago I believe my first was a 40 Toshiba 19x9, And I plan to buy a new set in a few weeks though it will be a plasma or LCD only issue is I want bigger, and a big plasma is too pricey still as I need preferrably a 60 inch....
