Dvi Cable For Xbox 360

i found a HDMI to DVI cable in a shop(dixons UK), the description says 'good sound quality'. and the seller said that the sound will work....
but i have heard that dvi cable does not transfere sound....
will this work or not?

also, compare the video quality of VGA cable and DVI cable, will it be much difference?

DVI does not do sound.  HDMI does do sound.  If you do a HDMI to DVI plug, you will not keep the sound portion.  As far as quality, I DVI is better than VGA I think, but am not sure how much better.  It probably only is marginal and I doubt you would be able to tell the difference.

It'll work fine, but since there is no HDMI cable for the XBOX, you are SOL.  :P

At least according to this thread, there is no confirmation that the XBOX pinout supports HDMI or DVI which makes me sad.
