I'm currently ahead by about 15-18 boxes (either bought  and repaired or fixed for hire).

I've never borken a box, though I've burnt up an assload of drives as part of my ONGOING EXPERIMENTATION.

i lost one that i havent tried repair yet. Its not burn or anything like that just a scaped up trace and some resistors i soldered back in place. And i did learn for my mistakes, dont work while drowsy, also dont modify your case to much with the mobo still in it. I drilled a hole into the case for a switch at the same height as mobo, it riped up the mobo to the left of the network port next to the vid input. Otherthan that ive fixed and xbox and modded 3 with no mishaps. So i think the one i fixed made up for the one im FIXING.

i have moded 20 xbox + 5 repair and every things went fine
i only trash one of my ps2 that's it

Err well I'm not an expert, and I haven't broken an Xbox, although I did mess up one time by accidentally unlocking my HDD in evox, but I just relocked it with XboxHDM. That's the worst I've gotten so far.

Ive not rendered any useless, but had one do it by itself.

It decided to spontaneously combust from one of the capacitors at the front of the mobo, and there it was gone.

Nothing quite like the smell of fried wafer in the morning

i've done tons of damage but never broken an xbox...

a d0 trace burnt nearly to the MCPX, and numerous other odd dmages is the most i've done...

i've done more damage to myself than my xbox... 120VAC really does hurt... alot...

Yeah, left one of those crapy Rat Shack 15 watt soldering irons on to long (over night )and appernatly it made it get really really hot.  Normally it would take FOREVER to solder with that thing.  Then one day I was soldering to the back side d0 and I toched the board right is I set the wire to the point and boom, white spot the size of a quarter and the traces rolled back like the shoes in the Wizard of Oz.  It was so amazing I just started laughing.  Then I promply went out and bought a new xbox mobo and a much better digital soldering iron.   Haven't messed anything up since then.

I thought I killed a 1.6 a few weeks ago, but thanks to 1.6 resurection I brought it back to life! So my record is back to never killing a board and Fixing many mistakes by other modders!

I keep buying broken boards from ebay because I want to do a memory upgrade for my emulation machine, but I keep fixing them instead!

Well, I've never killed any, but I don't consider myself a "mod master" either, so I haven't responded to the poll. I've modded 3 boxes.

well i havent destroyed any either. i have modded my own, and bits and peices opf a few friends. im not that adventourous anyway. i liek the way my xbox looks and feels so i dont botehr trying to do anythging else to it

nope, but i've come real close a lot of times (never let a commercial electrician help solder-he burned a whole square inch of the bottom side) i have spent 5+ hours repairing destroyed traces on one xbox, but never anything i couldn't fix ..... yet.
