here in the UK HDTV sets are still expensive so i would like to use my monitor if possible but i have a few questions,

1.will i be able to use this monitor for HD display on my 360?
2.what will i need to connect the monitor to my 360?
3.will i be able to have it connected to both my PC and the 360 at the same time?
4.i heard of some problems displaying the dashboard on the original Xbox when useing a monitor,will these still be present on the 360?

EDIT: i just took a look at the sticky and there are 2 questions that i couldnt find a answer for,

1.is there a device that will let me connect both my PC and my 360 to the same monitor and switch between them without me having to unplug cables?

2.is there a device that will let me connect both my PC and my 360 to the same speakers and switch between them without me having to unplug cables?

i hope i havent missed the info cos i know how annoying it can be with people asking the same questions over and over again

To switch between systems with a single monitor you need whats called a "KVM switch", you should be able to find one at just about any computer/electronics store. They typically have switches for keyboard and mouse as well (you'd have an easier/cheaper time just getting one that switches that stuff and not use it then you would trying to find one without the keyboard/mouse ports)... you might be able to find one that switches analog audio as well.

If you're switching digital optical audio then you'll need a whole other switch, they're much more expensive and difficult to find (but they do exist). If you're only switching analog you might be able to get away with just a cheap splitter. Having both plugged into your speakers at the same time. The audio will just get layered, which might actually be useful (hear PC system noises while playing to alert you of various things).

 i doubt id have the pc on at the same time as the 360 so that wouldnt be a problem
