and thats the reason why i hate rear projection tv's.

they just cant stack up to what LCD offers.

But bang for the buck you get a lot of real estate for the price. A DLP would be even better, they are somewhat close in picture to what plasmas offer.

Plasmas have awesome picture quality, especially compared to anything except CRTs. The only thing that sucks is they use a crap load of power.

Well I used to sell TVs and I own a plasma and the picture is much more vibrant than any LCD I have seen plus the blacks are much deeper then LCDs EASILY. We planned to get something else as our next TV but the more we look at different technologies we realize nothing has come close to how well our plasma looks except a few real high end techs like the SXRD Sonys.
