I would love to hook the 360 to my TV using HDMI.

Anyone know if the 360 actually supports HDMI out and if this cable is real?

My only question is... is Pelican certified by MS to provide that cable? It just seems odd to me that MS wouldn't try to capitalize on an HDMI cable (since cabling has EXTREME markups) yet still certify Pelican's cable. And if Pelican isn't certified, will it work properly? I don't want Pelican's stuff roasting my new 360.

somehow I think the security chip only applies to things plugged into the USB port. I could be wrong but any sort of AV encryption device would probably cause all sorts of interference.

And yes MS did confirm the capability of HDMI output at the Intel conference a little while back. Again they said that they wouldn't be releasing an HDMI cable until they though the market demanded it (which just seems dumb to me, considering it's one of the larger complaints about the system)

Ah yes. I remember MS saying they'd release an HDMI cable when the "market was ready." Oh well, guess I'll take my chances with Pelican until MS wakes up. Then again, isn't Monster signed on as official cable provider or something?
