No man, I havent experienced this in any of my hd's.  They are always bright and full of detail, but never get any darker.  Perhaps you settings need to be tweaked.

If you are buying the TV for the x360, why not wait until the console is launched when you can get a slightly better price or slightly better technology, as well as good reviews about which TV's work nicely with the x360?

That doesn't mean 720p is horrible, but for crts, having 720p upconvert to 1080i is basically a must because 1080i is much superior on a crt than 1080i on an lcd or plasma. Lcds and plasmas are better at the progressive stuff.

i'm having a hardtime finding the specs... here it says 720p....

http://www.futuresho...588&catid=11302

from what i have read upscaling from 720p to 1080i is a downgrade in quality.

crappy

Hey Carlo, one of the hd's I got is a standard 27" crt.  By standard I of course mean 4:3.  It will make the image to 16:9 if your tv supports that and mine does.  The picture is 25" in widescreen.  I was wary of this at first because some people were saying on an hdforum that you only get 75 percent of the screen size when going to 4:3 so I thought I was looking at a mere 21 or 22" display, but when I pulled out the measuring tape, going from left upper corner of the displayed picture to lower right corner, I got 25".  My other hd is a 27" widescreen display and it is only a slightly larger than when running the 4:3 hd.  So you are good to go.

dry.gif AFAIK there are no major sources that output at that resolution, meaning it's only ever used as a resultant output by that TV.

PAL resolution is 576 not 540....
