im so fed up..lol. alrite let me tell u what i did and maybe one of you can help. and yes i tried seaching the fourms and found no answer. Well i got a list of shoutcast file pre-maid so i didn't have to do anything special to get them to work. I know the worked cuz i tried them on my computer with winamp. So i made a folder on my hard drisk of my xbox and put the shoutcast files in there. I boot up xbmc and i see all the files =D so i choose one and it says all this stuff really quick like it should be, then it hangs when it says "connecting to "ip address" and then i wait, after a while it will give me an error but wont stay on the screen long enough for me to read it. I looked in xbmc and it detects my ip and gateway and everything just fine. what am i doing wrong? and thw weather, i type in Toronto and it jut hangs forever and does nothing. So if your could help me that would be great :D  thanx

p.s. i do have the newest verion of xbmc  <

Not sure if what kind of files you're trying, but I use pls files exported from winamp and that always works for me, but that weather question just boggles the mind.  <

Sonds to me as though the xbox can't connect to the internet. Mine used to hand on weather when i had networking problems. Have you ever been able to access the weather? What set up do you have?
At a guess Id say go into your Pc netwoking properties--->advanced---and make sure you have 'share internet connection' checked.  <

alrite, i tried what you said about the internet connection sharing. Your right. XBMC cannot connect to the internet. it has never been able to even when using shoutcast strems and i checked that option to sharing but that didn't help any. So now im stumped. I have no idea where to go from now. When i do get an error it says make sure your proxy settings are correct or something along those lines. So i looked in the config file of XBMC and it said

< ---------------------------- > if your going to use internt put in your proxy http settings >

it said something like that not those exact words. So i looks for my HTTP proxy settings and there no where to be found. i dont think i connect to the internet through an HTTP proxy server but if you kno where i could find that info or any other things you might know. plz reply. thank you  <
