i found a way that makes it so you have a better chance at getting in a game. before you launch the demo, sign out of XBL and then load up the demo and when the menu loads, just go into the xbox live multiplayer menu like normal and it will make you sign in first. do that and it should improve your chances of getting into a game.

oh what!  ph34r.gif hope that PS3 don't have these vsync issue + plus better anti-alising, cos bye bye 360  grr.gif

yes, because I'm sure the casual gamer demographic makes their purchasing decisions on those things, I wouldn't be surprised if more then 90% of the game buying population even knows what those things are.

MP in Splinter Cells doesnt interest me so I wont bother with the demo, but please tell me it isnt riddled with jaggies like past versions, there is absolutely no excuse for that.

A simple Yes or No will suffice.

I haven't played the demo but I'm in the same boat as you, MP in SC never interested me... but the Solo gameplay was awesome... Graphically unmatched except for the sawtooth edges on all the smooth polys and textures sad.gif

I'm sure this game will fix that... what with MS requiring 4XMSAA

I know they let a few launch titles slip on their requirements but I doubt they'd do the same this late in the game, especially when comparisons with the Wii and PS3 are on the line.

Man as much as I love the SplinterCell series.
I'm a bit hesitant on this one.
So far the reviews are great but this seems like another Pandora Tomorrow to me. (Not that it was a bad game or anything, but it was more like chopped liver for Chaos Theory)

Double Agent was developed by Ubi Shanghai, all while Ubi Montreal is working on the "real" SplinterCell next gen sequel....

I don't know, I want to buy the game but knowing that the real deal will probably come out within a year is giving me second thoughts.
Maybe I'll wait for a price drop or something....

I totally agree bro. Now that we know SC 5 is on the way and its being built primarily for the 360, Doable Agent seems like another Pandora. A true SC fan will get DA anyways, I will and Im sure I will love it and play thru it 10 times. And hopefully Twisted is right, I just have a bad feeling about jaggies, I cant shake how they were so apparent in the past versions.

IGN gave it high honors as far as Level design goes, thats all I needed to hear.

They raped the coop, you dont play thru a campaign like Chaos Theory. The new coop is pretty much training for versus. You can add bots that play as mercs or spies.

Hopefully SC 5 gets real Coop back into the mix! Or I will be livid!

Youre on Ohio man, the state of everything boring. You should have time on your hands, enough time to check the net and see the announcement we got weeks ago about Part 5. And why did you think DA would be the last?

The series gets better and better, theres no need to kill it.

yea, ohio sucks unless you live near one of ohio's 2 amusment parks (Kings Island and Cieder point. both which have record breaking roller coasters!) anyways i thought it would be the last because sam is now considered a criminal. i havent played the game yet (demo doesnt count) so i dont know the exact story (i dont like to read much about video games story lines)

The info was leaked a while before the announcement when a file of Ubi unannounced project artwork was accidently posted on the net.

Didnt team Montreal already lay out plans to Shanghai for double agent? I thought Shanghai was just mostly in charge of the 360 version, freeing up Montreal to do the other versions.

Where as Shanghai did ALL versions of Pandora if Im correct, they also did the MP in Chaos.

Going off memory here so dont explode if I get a few wrong.....

Splinter Cell:
Team Montreal (Xbox and PC versions)
Team Shanghai (Gamecube and PS2 versions)

Pandora Tomorrow:
Team Shanghai did ALL versions while Montreal started on Chaos Theory

Chaos Theory:
Team Montreal did Single player(Shanghai implemented multiplayer on Xbox version)

Double Agent:
Team Montreal (GC, Xbox, PS2, PC versions)
Team Shanghai (360 version) [Speculation: although I think they might have ported from PC version Montreal already made]

Splinter Cell 5:
Team Montreal (either a total 360 exclusive or a timed one) *have probably already begun.

If I made mistakes, Please feel free to correct them beerchug.gif
