Splinter Cell: Double Agent Pushed 2 September

I think most of us expected this, as a release in a month or 2 seemed rather odd.

Damnit.  That was the A#1 game I wanted this spring.
I wonder if PS3 development problems had anything to do with this?

Team Shanghai is doing the 360 version, and only the 360 version, so No.

The game isnt headed to the ps3 anyways, well it hasnt been announced as far as I know. Can anyone show a link where it says its headed to ps3? Sony doesnt even know when the damn system is launching, UbiSoft better not be holding out, it could be years  laugh.gif

Nope, no ps3 version has been announced, atleast not from the sources I just checked.

I wont quote all of what you typed as its pointless...

Recon and Tomb Raider are due that same month...

...and a few others many of us here want badly. Im glad some of them are getting delayed, 3 to 4 big games in a single month is never the greatest. A couple always get ignored because of that. Spread them out I say.

And if it was delayed out of necessity, even better. Dont release it until its ready beerchug.gif

In all honesty had I known the 360 wasn't going to have any games at all till the approach of the ps3 I would have held out on the purchase and waited to see what console was truly worth my dollars.

New Trailers, the Low Quality version shows slightly different footage, but its as advertised, looks like shit.

A good approach to this is that a series of great games were to be released in March and obviously there had to be one that get's push back. Ghost Recon and GOW were already been pushed back from their original release dates to March. Now it's Splinter Cells turn to get push back.

Another thing,  MS reported earnings today for their fiscal year and were not too happy with the lack of supply for the 360. This is not something that they had planned for. They are suffering on the Gaming front, luckily high demand in servers for Corporate America saved their butts and kept them from getting into red ink.

With this in mind I do not see MS releasing too many great games before they get some more X-Boxes out in the market. So far I know about 5 friends and family members that want a 360 and are being told that it's not coming out till at least in March. I think MS would rather get as many 360 out to those in need as possible then hoked them up with great games instead of vice versa where what's the point of releasing a great game when only a small amount of the potential players will buy it.

That's my two cents on this....

You make some points, but GoW was never pushed back, it has still never ever been given a date by MS or Epic. Thank the retail chains for its current date  blink.gif

Just felt the need to mention that so people get it embedded into their brains, so when a real date is given, people dont shout "how dare them!"
