so i cant seem to edit the previous post. while playing the "sanguine" side mission, the character Hildari Mothril was killed by one of the guards. come to find out later, in the theives guild mission, "AHDARJI'S HEIRLOOM", she was a key character in this mission, and she is lying on the floor, dead. ive waited around for hours for alessia to go to bed, but she just sits at the table in the dining hall eating...the most previous save prior to this event is levels and levels ago and i would rather not lose my progress.

No you don't. That's Crap. She was dead when i had to do that mission and I still did it. You just have to go in and wait for the Countess to go to sleep. She will eventually and if she doesn't you have to go back outside and wait for like an hour or two. Then sneak in and steal the ring from her jewelry box. Watch out for the guard tho.
