Leveling Up
« on: July 08, 2006, 08:00:00 PM »

Ok, I just stared the game today and I managed to close an Oblivion gate. After that, I do some quick quests and now I need to collect this ring from Ormellious Goldwine and show it to the guard. Aparently the guy died and I never got the ring. Anyhow, where is the ring, and how do I level up? Im sick of getting owned by these goblins because im still on level 1  grr.gif

Leveling up is bitter sweet; although the weapons are better and your power will increase, the enemies will also get harder.

I level up regardless. I want to play this game as I would play any other RPG and that means leveling up when I can. It allows me to get cooler and better equipment and other then good quests that is what RPG's are all about... getting cool gear.

Ok, thanks for the replys. I am now on Level 2 but in a major problem. I went to this shrine with demonic people wearing red robes up in the mountains. And in order to enter, I gave ALL my belongings to this guy and in exchange he gave me a red robe to wear. Anyhow, time passes, I steal the book, escape with the prisioner lizzard guy and im stuch with NO items.

How can I get my weapons/armour back? Also, I lost about 1000 gold too  grr.gif

well i just killed that guy lol, nothing bad happened, and i kept my stuff, but if you find that guy and kill him he should have your stuff, so did you kill the guys who were doing the sacrifice? if so, he probably came over and attacked you. so look for him/ his body.

the offering is glow dust which come from the creatures called will-o-wisps. if you look around the shrine and down the hills you should find some flying around. kill one and search its body and pick up the glow dust from it.

it took me a while to find one of those buggers.  i had ran into a few of them earlier in a few caves and such, but since sold the dust, once i really needed one, it took forever.

wow did u guys know this glitch already. you can keep bound stuff and enchant it. you have to cast a bound spell then repair the bound item and then drop it and wait till the bound spell wears off and it stays! you can keep it too. i might just have to do this to get the daedric helmet cuz i cant find one at level 23 so far.

Im a bit confused here guys. I know I level up by training in my major skills but I have no idea what they are. Would I be wrong in saying that they would be destruction and alteration? I am a Dark Elf Sorcerer born under the birth sign of The Mage. Like no0b123 Im tired of getting pwned by everyone. Wish it was like Everquest and went by kills and receive new spells at different lvls.

Ahh the days of Quad kiteing  rolleyes.gif ....CAN I GET A SOW!!! LOL

Pause the game and or the far left tab, you will see your major skills, then minor, then birthsign, race, everything. What I did to help me was basically steal some good stuff  laugh.gif

If you go to the cloud city (or whatever) and join the guild there, you are offered a Kitana sword (good) and a bunch of armor and stuff. Since then, I have been doing pretty good on level 3. Also, you can go to the market square and be trained by a shop keeper to help improve your skill. The use of magic has also helped me ALOT....and stealing  biggrin.gif
