Im using the 03-09-04 build of xbmc and cant get the weather info.

Im using 2 nics in my PC
My xbox connects through a ethernet switch to NIC #1
My DSL modem connects through the ethernet switch to NIC #2

I have ICS enabled for both NIC's

Xbox IP = 192.168.100.3
NIC #1 IP = 192.168.100.1
NIC #1 IP = 192.168.100.6

I can FTP my Xbox using FlashFxp
I can also connect online using XBConnect

My Evox settings are:

[Network]

SetupNetwork   = Yes
StaticIP      = Yes
Ip      = 192.168.100.3
Subnetmask   = 255.255.255.0
Defaultgateway   = 192.168.100.1
DNS1      = 192.168.100.1
DNS2      = 0.0.0.0
SetupDelay   = 0
SkipIfNoLink   = No

I keep getting this error:

DNS lookup for xoap.weather.com failed: 10060
unable to connect:xoap.weather.com

My XboxMediaCenter.xml settings are:

<ipadres>-</ipadres>
 <netmask>-</netmask>
 <defaultgateway>-</defaultgateway>
 <nameserver>-</nameserver>

Please Help!

i have the same problem as you i cant connect to anypart of the xbmc like weather channel etc.  <

Here it's also only freezing. No reply from weather.com. I hope the programmers will take a look at the network part.   <

Your ISP should have given you an IP of a DNS server.  Pop that in the slot for the second DNS server in the evox.ini.  You said you can connect to the Xbox thru FTP, is that while running Evox or XBMC?    <

You should fillin all your network info into the XboxMediaCenter.xml.

You need to activate the ftp server in xbmc settings, general.  <

weather feature and stream shoutcast  <

I was having the same problem connecting to Weather.com when I was running EvoX. I switched to Avalaunch and it worked perfectly, but I have no clue why.  <
