ummmm, your probably screwed. It's not a mission that's needed to complete the game or any of the guilds, so you can still continue on. It's just one more mission you won't be able to finish with your current character.

P.S. You might want to try to control you anger.

His stolen loot is a pathetic sum anyway, and you can find it without completing the quest if you know where to look.

So what's the story here? Is someone willing to disclose the exact location of his treasure?

The treasure was outside of the City Walls. I believe it was the East gate(whatever gate was closest to the Castle). It was probably only 15 paces or so to the right(exiting bruma) and about 30 paces away from the city walls hidden in a pile of rocks. It's a treasure chest so it's not to difficult to see once you get to the proper location. I'm at work right now, so I can't check the EXACT location, but it's close.
