this is bull.  any game on the pc can be eventually modded.  it isn't the developer/publisher's responsibility.  the game hasn't changed at all on the 360 since they first reviewed it.  i haven't played through the whole game yet, but i'm certain there is nothing on the level of a "hot coffee" mod. mad.gif

Wow... so because someone mods there game the rating is changed?  I can do the same thing with NES games... were those ratings changed?  Look at what happenned with DOA Extreme Beach Volleyball... isn't there a nude patch for that?

The answer to your question would be yes...and it wasn't to shabby. rolleyes.gif Though I messed around with it just for laughs, my friends didn't think it was possible...boy did I prove them wrong!

I can see it now, we can cause the demise of any console.  Lets all get together and every game that is released on the PS3 we will release a nude patch for it.  Eventually we will win.  :Evil Laugh:

This is a disgusting use of the ESRB's power..  And it saddens me that Bethesda will allow this to happen.  Was there a public outcry?  Why were two identical games rated M for two separate reasons?

We just lost a tiny bit more of our freedoms today..

There's a difference.  This is more like San Adreas in the fact the textures already exist within the games archives.  DOA XBV was a user made mod. The textures weren't already in the game.

is it me or isn't DOA Beach Volleyball rated 'M' and always was?

anyways, yes this is a how ESRB shows you that they have too much power...

anyways, i think the main reasons in my opinion were 'sexual themes' and 'use of alcohol'

THESE 2 THINGS (oh and smoking but wasn't said, probably in-cluded in the same category knowing them..) are what corrups america's and  the rest of the worlds kids.  alright now, I am only 20 years old and I mean fuck it i dont care if it was rated M, in canada the legal drinking age is 19, and im glad cuz i can legally buy alcohol, same for most of my other friends as well, but if you were a parent, and you're kid was say 12-15, would you really want them seeing people drink, smoke, swear, anything involving sex, or anything like that, would you want them watching that?

I would be VERY leniant about that though, im definately not, trust me, but im just gonna say it to joke around, I WOULD in a sense want my kid watching that (just girls and alcohol at least) so that way there is no risk that he will turn out gay, hahahahaha

anyways, im EXTREMELY high, so I'm not gonna blab on anymore cuz im rambling.

Notice how Elder Scrolls 3 had a nude patch and didn't get its rating bumped. I have a feeling someone is pressuring ESRB into being more critical on the whole rating thing. Also why wait till now to bump the rating for the 360 version? Did they not play longer than 30 seconds originally to find out that things in the game bleed when you hit them?

Instead of just complaining on here, write the ESRB and let them know (with discretion) why their decision was a wrong one.  This is one of the ways we can prevent future, irrational, decisions by the ESRB.  Please for the sake of all of us try to refrain from using sensational comments (when contacting ESRB) like:
*Your dumb.*
*Retards*

they'd see worse things on the news anyways (or everything you said in just about any pg13 movie) the esrb hold video games to a much stricter standard then anything else gets held to
