Im afraid I cant be of much help sad.gif

I never tried storing anything outside of one of the homes I bought. Others have tried only to find out it all gets taken. Definitely dont leave it in the arena area. It'll go bye bye  tongue.gif

side note, I own all 8 possible houses, cost me a fortune to furnish the bastards to complete the quests but it was worth clearing 100 dungeons smile.gif

Just buy that cheap house in the imperial city.  Provided its just a shack, but it will hold everything and your stuff will never go away.

I've left things everywhere...I'll be walking through the fields and I'll see a bunch of items laying on the ground and I'll know I've been there lol.  I think you could probably leave stuff in a remote spot and it'd be relatively safe, you'd just have to remember where you put it.

I was under the impression that items dropped outside of your house disappeared after three days. I've never had the occasion to try it, though.

Yeah, i dropped some crap in the Imperial City Market streets in my first few hours of gameplay and it's still there 90 hours later. The only guaranteed safeplace is a house though, 2000 for the shack and 600 for some chests is the best option early on.

I don't really worry about losing my stuff, but I love the chests just for their organization.

I've heard of lots of people getting stuff stolen when they leave it places but I've also just dumped stuff I couldn't carry or didn't want and I've NEVER seen any of it dissapear.

Same thing with Dead bodies, people I've killed in the middle of the street, still laying there dead game weeks later.

Other people have claimed the game cleans up deadbodies after 3 days but I've never seen it.

Ive done it in the Arena (training area) and it dissapeared about 10 hours later of gameplay, i had to stop and build up my lvl cause i was getting my ass handed to me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif). Ive droped a few things in the water district and its still there. The horse you get from the darkbrotherhood quest cant die so you can knock it out and store things in it. I have also lost that horse, i cant find it anywhere, any clues:(?

I was thinking the same thing. The only thing that has happened to me is when I murdered a dude in an inn I decided to come back later to get his stuff(I would have been over-encumbered), and when I came back all the good stuff was gone; just 1 gold pants and a shirt.

When glarthir died, I took his house, if u put any items in his chests or drawers they dissapear later.  but apparently, like others said , ive thrown stuff on the streets and its still there after 50+ hours of gameplay.  haven't tried throwing stuff in some random house yet.. but yah just buy yourself a shack...

Im just waiting for mirosoft to fix my xbox so i can play again (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
