Yep, that's what I used. I also used some of the nightshade from my tower too. I haven't beat the main quest line yet and all I need for the vamp cure is to kill that powerful vamp and I'm cured!

Has anyone else had trouble finishing this quest?  After getting the cure from the witch I took it back to the Count and now every time I talk to him he just asks me to leave, and that person you're supposed to talk to to summon him just keeps telling me to wait.  I think I'm stuck in some sort of loop and now I can't advance any further in the main quest..

I completed the main quest, but I still have bloodgrass I got from oblivion in my inventory. Would that work? I would try, but I am only a level 8 right now, and don't want to lose my vampirism. Why would one want to lose such a beautiful gift?

helo guys. im having this trouble whereby where the witch asked me to get the ingredients and one of them happened to b the ash of a vampire. I've goten the ash and had passed the ash to the wtich but the problem now is my quest did not get updated instead it still asked me to give the ash to her which apparently i did because its not in my inventory. therefore i continue getting other ingredients eg garlic, nightshare, argon blood & bloodgrass. after doing so, i've got the potion for "cure vampirism". the quest log told me to head over skingard and talk to the lizard lady but she was nowhere to be found. i followed the marker but it leads me into the castle door which i have to break in. So, im kinda stuck here. so does this glitch haf got to do with the previous "not updated quest" by the witch ? Im just wondering why because im stuck here for like few days now. please help me anyone

No, you guys are not in trouble. You can just buy the Vile Lair DLC, which was meant to cure your character of vampirism, plus you get some cool weapons + armor.

im somehow stuck too, i was able to give her all my ingredients garlic, BG, NS. the ashes and the dagger plus the soul gems. Now she keeps telling me that once she has all ingredients she will make the potion.
She has them all now i cant go no further.

I finished the main quest before i started this quest. so i think im glitching

ok i mannaged to proceed with the vamp quest, i had to go and buy shivering iilses and a harddrive for my machine.but it added the blood grass option to give to the lady.

now everything is good and in no longer a blood thirsty vamp.

For all of those people who need a cure for vampirism and have finished the main quest just purchase the Wizard's Tower and look in the garden to find the oblivion plants and every other plant in the game.

OR an easier way is to buy the Dark Brotherhood's Vile Lair add-on for 150 points. There is an altar that cures you of vampirism worked for me after I finished the game just fine
