some of the houses are 25,000

but there is a nice waterfront shack in the waterfront district of the imperial legion--- i forget who you have to talk tho... hmmm anyway- ususally you go into the castle's and talk with somebody in there

There is also a 4000 dollar house in another city-

anyway then u have to buy furniture, but mostly all you really need is a chest- that can run from 700 to 2000 i think

anyone recall where u buy the waterfront shack?

the market district. in some shop... doesnt sell anything but the house. forgot what its called tho..

I think it's the Commerce Office or something like that. You'll have to make the lady like you before she'll sell.

To buy a house go to the castle in most cities and ask around. Each person that sells you a house has to get a high disposition (through speechcraft/spell/bribe) and will then sell it to you.

Find them in the castles except for the Imperial City. That person is on the Office of Commerce in the Market District.

After you finally can afford to buy and house and do so, you'll still need to buy the furniture so you can get some chests and cupboards. Every house comes with some sort of bed by default so you can at least sleep for free.

Some of them are quite expensive. You drop 25k on the skingrad house and several thousand more to get all the furniture and upgrades. (I still don't understand why anyone would want everything).

Yeah, there really is no point in buying most houses. Benrius Manor is different. There is a side quest involved with it.

And if you beat the mages guild, you get the arch-mages quarters with plenty of storage space and that one is free just like the other guilds.

Now if I can just get a good way to put stuff in display cases....

well when you have lots of money and nothing to spend it on might as well buy houses. i dont even know how many i have. i think i have 3/4 of them. to buy a house a person has to like you. i think the best house is the waterfront house just cuz its in the middle of the world.

I just bought the house in Anvil. Its only like 5k and its soo big!
Not to mention the basement is sweet!
