I have seen baddies wearing the helmet but I can never take it from them. I really need one because my bone helmet does not match my outfit.

Once I went to a cave full of vampires and one had a Daedric helmet on. I killed him but did not loot his body right away because his 3 other boys were pissed that I killed their friend. They were swinging pointy swords at me :-( . I finished them all off with a big smile on my face because I had finally found my very own Daedric helmet. The problem is that when I went over to take it from him it was not there. I assumed he used a bound helmet spell.

Keep in mind I have one done 2-3 of the main story missions and only closed one gate.

So where is the best place for a noble night to find one of these Daedric helmets.

i found a couple of them when closing the oblivion gates for jaufre (or whatever his name is). they dont come up very often and neither do the gloves i find. i just got lucky and found one on a guy and the other in one of those sacs that hang from the ceilings in the oblivion caves.
