Topic: Where Do You Find Grand Soul Gems (Read 190 times)

I have 40+ hours in the game and I am currently at level 28. The entire game I have only used enchanted items I have found during my time in the game. None of the stuff is very uses full for me since I am a pure melee character.

After reading about what people have created I have decided that my goal this weekend is to get into the university, which I have not done yet, and enchant some reeally cool gear.

Since I want the uber gear I will need some grand soul gems. Since there is a cloning bug I can use I just need one gem.

Where are the grand soul gems?

I bought mine from the alchemist in one of the guilds. It was the one where the Guidmaster's name is Jeanne F and the alchemist's shop is on the left. Can't remember the name. Was it Bruma?

Exactly. And it was already filled with a grand soul.

So naturally I duped the thing like 100 times and stashed them in all of my houses for quick retrieval.

Same way. You can buy them in guilds and they are sometimes in the display cases.

*Side note: I wish you could dupe grand black soul gems, but you can't. Anyone know what you can do with these that you can't with regular grand soul gems???

You can find a filled one and several empty ones in the lobby of the arcane university, in a display case.

black soul gems can be filled with human spirits.

You can dupe empty black soul gems. You just can't dupe full ones.

There are 2 grand soul gems with grand souls in the display case in the main tower part of the arcane university.

Too bad. There really isn't any difference in the effect of using a black soul gem over a regular soul gem. So I guess I'll just keep my regular ones.

I did find some varla stones. They have now replaced my grand soul gems.

so I went form mages guild to mages guild, and finally got an assload of greater soul gems

finally not a vampire anymore!
I sure do miss my extra strengths though

One of the shops in the Imperial City Market District sells them. It's 2 or 300 something coin if I remember.
I forget the name but it's the magic shop with the high elf.
