i agree with you on all the rest but i thought screenshots were taken from the frame buffer (or something like that) and that is how is was shown that PGR3 runs at only 600p.  if they can take screens from other games this way, why not from oblivion?

The PC version has a slightly cleaner capture because we couldn't pull shots directly from the frame buffer in our retail Xbox 360 version.

this is what i love about the pc version. ati just released a parch for the drivers to enable hdr and AA at the same time on oblivion, and i am sure they are working for new optomizations for catalyst 6.4 when they come out, which should be in the next couple of weeks. i run the game flawlessly on with everything i can max out on an ati x800 xl, an amd64 3200+, and 1gb corair  ram. which i would consider a mid range system. i am using custom drivers from omega drivers. wasn't the gear of wars video just cgi and not in game graphics? anyways, i know the 360 is fairly powerful it has to be programmed specificaly for and programing for the cores cost extra money. like i said earlier why spend $60 for a 360 vesion, when i can get the pc version for as low as $38.

There is no such thing as footage from Gears that is anything other than ingame realtime. There is no pre rendered anything concerning GoW, period. Thats not opinion.

I played on a P4 3.0ghz, ati x800 xl gpu 256megs, and 2 gigs of system ram and it ran like shit with everything maxed at only 1024 x 768 res.  You must know some kind of magic to get it to run 'flawlessly' with those pc specs.

Well not pre rendered graphics but some of the clips show scripted animations with movements that won't happen in game and also with no joins to the next animation, so that is making 'some' of it look better than it really is.

In terms of animation anyway.
