[Deftech]

Need assistance my Cyrodill brethren...

This is one of those quests I was given early on, meaning a day or 2 within getting the game. Since that time, Ive completed about 50 side quests and keeping track is a little difficult.  

I click on the map to see where it is(because I have no idea where I was when given the task) and nothing comes up on the map.

Has anyone tackled this one recently? any recollection of where I even was when I was given the quest?

I checked all shrines on the map and I dont see anything named Vaermina, so Im thinking its not a shrine. If it is, it never came as "found" and its not on my map.

The daedric shrine of Vaermina is southwest of Cheydinhal on the east shore of Poppad Lake. It has to be a grand black soul gem, which I don't have yet

that shrine is not on my map, but I obviously must have found it if I was given the quest.

oh well, time to go hunting, thanks.

I havent seen/taken any black soul gems, period. Thats one of the few things I havent come across yet.

The only Black soul gems Ive found are the two you find doing the Mages guild reccomendation quest for I think Cheydinal. Its the same one that you do the ring of burden for.

If you havent allready done that quest you might be able to grab one during the quest and hop over the the shrine and offer it up. I do know that if you only turn in one and leave the other in the chest or on your person it disappears, so you might be able to pull it off during the quest.



But my girlfriend swears up and down she found one in some random cave full of necromancers and (not realizing its signifigance) used to to charge a weapon.

Yes I did that quest, first one I did actually, feels like a year has past since that  

Ive been in countless dungeons at 107 hours into the game and havent seen a damn one. I shall find it, someday..I hope

go to #15 on this map, then thats where the shrine is.

I found it earlier. I remember being there because I searched every known body of water for my 100 nirnroot quest last week. Today when I got close it said I found it, like it did last week, but today it actually shows up on my map. The deeper I get into the game, the more bugs Im running across, no biggie though.

I know how to make black soul gems now, found out how during a mages quild quest. It wont work though so maybe I have to be evil 1st

If I remember correctly, in Morrowind, you could only create black soul gems on certain days of the week.  So leave that sucker there for a week.  You'll know that it's worked when a huge spire of light shoots up into the sky.

interesting, I'll check the altar I left it in as time passes, thanks for the heads up
