i did the same thing once too, well actually MANY times i have gotten stuck in places where i couldnt get out, lickily i alternate saves.

The Main quest was my last one to do before Id done all my quests on the game and i had like 65 tousand golden coins and was in level 22.

Ive just got out god ive been stuck in there for hours, so simple aswell, when in the cave juse drop down the lave looking hole and follow the way out to the oblivion wastes.

easy as 123 when you know how

So if I wentdown the hole in the mire of ash.
Is there a way out or am I screwed?
I tried the lava hole but just came out in the other lava hole .
Still stuck!
Any help would be great.

haha thats funny i just did started this gate today and im kinda stumped. but i just found this

First you have to find and enter the Oblivion gate north of the city. Once you’re in there, go forwards to see a bridge and a tower on the left. Inside you can get some stuff from the body of a Mythic Dawn cultist. Go further and enter Nether Tunnels. After going through some simple dungeon levels, you’ll end up outdoors again. Go to Red Gnash Tunnels. This time it’s shorter. When you are outside yet again, follow the path to reach The Tower Portal. Enter doors in that order: Rending Halls, Flesh Spire, dead Halls, Flesh Spire, Corridors of Dark Salvation, Sigillum Sanguis. There’s another Sigil Stone in there. Touch it to close the gate.

Little late here, but what the hell. If memory serves me, Skingard has a similar gate. 4 towers surround the main tower, with no visible door leading up towards the stone. Well, I got a little tired of searching and took advantage of my higher acrobatics. I just went to the highest tower, crossed the bridge to the main tower, then just jumped over the ledge to the next level. Took a minimal amount of damage and dispatched the enemies waiting there, and was done with the OG in about 5-10 minutes after that.

Me too, I am also stuck in the mire of ash. On the side of the mountain going up to the tower you suppose to go. I went into this door. I saw 3 holes, I was like whatever i don't have anywhere else to go. I dropped down and It is like a freaking maze theres only 3 doors out of this giant maze and i keep going in circle and backtracking for 2-3 hours,, haha it's stupid as hell. I also found this door but it wont let me in because it says it leads to nowhere and that was the last door i found. When i got back to the beginning I was looking up at the holes jumping to get out. I believe at this point theres no way out. No switches, No more holes, just lava holes. Can anyone help me? BTW when i was down there i got so bored just wondering around eventually I found this dwarven helmet.. It's cool looking
