Alright I spent all day doing those damn recommendation quest. I had one more to go and I had to steal the guild leaders spell book and give it to the guy. I had the book in my inventory and attempted to talk to the guy but he always tell me " Have you pulled off the prank yet?" So I was like fuck this probably a damn glitch so I killed one of the members in the living quarters on get suspended. Does anyone know how long the suspension is? Is the mage guild worth doing all these quest?

If you dont do these quests then you wont gain access to the academy which is where you can enchant your own gear and make your own spells. I dont know how long a suspension lasts, you may have to pay some gold to a guard to clear your name of the bounty that you get from killing guild members.

Its never a good thing to kill just any random person in towns [other than the beggars] as they may ben needed for quests later on in the game, or they may sell a rare spell or be a master trainer [if they exist in oblivion]

So you've got suspended from the mages guild?  Same here.  Have fun with that.  To get back into the guild you have to collect 20 daedra hearts and 20 vampires dusts.  Crazy if you ask me.

its worth it for the 100 achievement points to me, just to 100% complete the game.

i would avoid getting kicked out, you may have just overlooked something as far as who you are supposed to talk to once you steal the diary

even if u get ALL the achievements, that does not mean the game  is 100% beaten.  there is still LOTS to explorel.  until every dungeon is empty the game is not beaten!

Thanks for the advice guys. Just a quick question though, when you make spells do you make them the same way you do to make potions but not with the mortar and pestal?

No I was pissed off because the guy I was supposed to talk to wasnt interacting. So I just got pissed and killed the this lady that right beside me. Damn I was close to killing him to though he has about this much life left --. Can anyone go to Broyon or whatever it is called and go to the mages guild and see if she gives you any quest?

im really pissed to i accidentaly took the wrong horse, which was stabled 6 inches from my own horse, it said you have stolen a mages horse and are now banned or suspended. no big deal, well i accidentaly hit the wait button in instead of the start button to reload. kicked from the guild for tapping A on the wrong horse, stupid....

I just got the Recommendation from Bruma. It took a whole 5 minutes, I wish they were all that easy.

I took the book, talked to him, he made the guy re-appear, told the lady I found him, quest completed. It might have taken less than 5 minutes actually. Im glad I didnt encounter a bug like you did, Id be pissed.
