Samba Share On Two Computers
« on: March 10, 2004, 09:38:00 PM »

how would you setup your xbmc XML to share videos and music from other computers on the network? This is my setup: computer A (192.168.0.1) is connected to the internet, and is sharing its connection and files with my computer (192.168.0.2). the xbox is connected to another nic on my computer, and i have bridged the 2 nic on my computer to connect computer A with my xbox. I got samba working on my computer, but i dont know how to get it to work with the other computer at the same time. I want to be able to see videos and music that I have on both computers in XBMC. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I have searched alot on this subject on this forum and others, but have not found a clear and precise way to do this with my setup, so please dont flame the hard-working noob.  <_<   <

um... get a hub !!!

If you're too poor to afford a hub, or don't want one....

i think u can use routing/NAT software to do what you want, I'm guessing window's bridging feature is pretty crappy, never used it before so i can't help ya on that one.  <

I believe you can just add another share in the XBMC xml file for PC "A".  <
