Basically, I've been wondering if your minor skills add anything to your leveling up?

For example, I was planning on re-starting a character as a pure mage. Then spending the opening portion of the game leveling up my athletics, acrobatics, blade, and block skills so that I won't need to spend my major skills on those.

If I only level up these skills for the first few hours of gameplay, it will not apply towards my character leveling up correct?

I believe that the minor skills DO level you up, just at a much slower rate than the major skills.

Leveling up any skill helps you level up.

offtopic but my marksman major is pathetic compared to my other 6 majors. Im a journeyman in all other 6, mid 50s, my marksmen is 37

anyone get into the "other" set of sewers under the palace? holy shit, and I thought previous vampires were difficult

I tried lastnight and I didnt bother again, I would have thrown something.

anyone wanna sell me some nirnroots on marketplace?

Nope 10, you need 10 of those messages that say you have advanced in *Conjuration* and then it will tell you go to sleep and meditate.

so to clarify you level up in all your skills just that in your major skills you level up faster than in your minor skills, correct?
