HOLY SHITBALLS!

This game was worth the $65.00 for the Intro alone!
it took me a good 20 minutes to create my character after that. I JUST now started the game and I had to pause. My eyes couldnt believe what they were seeing. The dungeon walls are just as we saw back in the old videos, I am in heaven! I dont care if I never even start a fucking quest, I will sit in the fuggin forest and listen to the music and look at rocks and watch the foliage sway in the damn wind! Go get this fugger beerchug.gif

Any and all of you that thought the game wouldnt look good are in the for the surprise of your life. If you dont have a HDTV, I really feel bad for you, I truly do.

I am in shock, that is all.........

Tonight, I'll call an Ambulance to be on standby at your house.

Just to be safe...

I'm on the same paga as Crobar, only have about an hour a day to play 360 and do not know if this game is worth buying since I don't think that much can be accomplish with an hour a day playability.

Please reply if you think otherwise!

I'd put money down that you'd probably commit hari kari if you could only spend an hour a day with Oblivion.

I MAY be getting it today at around 4-5 if my mother comes home soon enough...

I will reiterate.  The new map/compass system makes it easy and fairly quick to accomplish things.  So yes, you can accomplish something in an hour.

Thanks Souske,

I was about to respond to Carlo210 that I did not understood his response. I'm still not sure if he was dissing me or what? Better get out the dictionary and try to define  "hari kari"  uhh.gif

Thanks,

One more good feedback that this game is do-able in an hour a day basis and I will buy it tonight!

I may be picking this game up this weekend.  I'm such a sucker for eyecandy (that's why I bought DOA2 way back when) so just to look at it would make me happy.  I'm sure there is lots to do in an hour.  You may not complete an entire task, but you can surely save what progress you do make.

Oh, and Hari Kari is the way 'honorable' people killed themselves in feudal japan.  Knife to the stomach, insert swiftly, then remove before you die.

Remember when Ballz2thaWallz was going on and on about how the 360 version was going to suck because they cut all this stuff?  I almost wish he didn't get banned so we could rub it all in his face.  Everything is there... the great textures with bump and specular mapping, the sweet water effects, bloom effects on the sun.  It took me 2 hours to even remember to look for the shadows and when I did, they were more than acceptable.  The only slowdowns I've seen were during loading and autosaving, and I'm sure the PC version slows down then as well.

I was kinda bummed when I emerged from the sewers.... after hearing all these great descriptions I had my hopes real high only to find out that it was friggin midnight and I couldn't see shit.  The night sky is mighty purdy though, and the wait option made it daytime in a few seconds.   Damn that draw distance is crazy.

if Oblivion is capable of being a 300 hour game, I just turned it into a 600 hour one  laugh.gif

I just entered the sewers and my last save was 2 hours and 42 minutes into the game.

This rocks! I have literally walked around next to walls so see the lighting from the torch for 15 minutes. I also sat on a stool and sipped Folgers and just watched the light dance around the caves.

unbelievable game. Not one fuggin jaggy, and the shadows they removed wouldnt even be noticable or needed. This is just unbefugginlievable!  love.gif

Yeah torches go out after a certain amount of time.  Try and keep a few handy.

So what race is everyone?  I wanted a well rounded character without any negativities but strong sword and magic skills so I went with an imperial born under the mage and made a custom class I called BladeBane.  I've already ran into 3 dungeons/tombs on the way to my first quest... keep getting sidetracked smile.gif

dark elf/mage/witchhunter

magic and still good with a bow smile.gif

I just got outside and it was dawn and within a few minutes it started getting light. I just spent the better part of 10 minutes chasing 3 deer thru a meadow with my bow, only to see one of them jump into a stream and swim across, water ripples and everything caused from it, my jaw fell to the floor, for the 300th time today  jester.gif

game is just unbelievable!

back 2 it!!!!!!

davinator, the official guide is in stores is 20% off at eb when you purchase it with the game. They tried talking me into it, I stood my ground! its almost 400 pages, insane!

what Illusions said, and if you find that unacceptable, you gots issues!  jester.gif  I was NOT expecting the game to move at such a brisk pace, and it truly does, and its welcomed! I was thinking it would be slower and more cumbersome. I got dizzy in the sewers it moved so silky smooth.

all you people on the fence will feel like fools when you get it. Youll ask yourself why you waited. Its a masterpiece. back to chasing deer....
