the dark brotherhood is the last thing Im doing in this game, I have a feeling it may complicate things, like kage mentioned, and this is already getting hard enough.

they should have made 1 multiplayer thing in the game...... online multiplayer arena fights! that would be kick ass!

ugggg please help me lol....
Ok i closed the first oblivion gate and then i have to go in to find martin.... i find him dead and i get the ring from his body and give it to marian (or close to that name) and then he takes over and that quest is done. I also have another quest to get martin and bring him back safely to his father or someone. I activated that mission and it points to marian. So i go to him and he says he has got it under control and wont say anything else. I tried going to martin's body and looting everything and that didnt work. I also tried to go to his father and he said to find him. Right now im like durrrrrrrrrr and i cant do anything related to that main mission.

Im almost level 5 w00t the beginning of the game pissed me off as i didnt know much to do and walked everywhere (lol) then i started to like it and loved the arena. Now im starting to like it less but have an urge to go play again. I rented this from blockbuster btw because they didnt have burnout...

anyway... can someone help me with my problem ? thanx

Martin's father (Uriel Septim) dies in the opening sequence. If you are on the quest where you need to bring Martin back to Weynon Priory, and Martin is dead... then you won't be able to complete the quest. I thought I read somewhere that quest critical NPC's couldn't be killed? Perhaps try going back in a day or two and see if he's alive.

yay, beat the main questline... 40 hours, level 11

now to do more sidequests

Critical NPC's cannot be killed. If they get beat up, they can just get knocked unconscious for a bit. I took Martin and Jauffre into the Oblivion gate on the way to the fortress after Kvatch and watched them beat the hell out of everything. It was fantastic. They got knocked out a few times but always bounce back. They even fell into the lava and got stuck, but spawned right behind me when I exited the gate.

yeah... anyway whenever i talked to anyone there they were like oh my gosh i cant believe martin has died! i will miss him. I was like WTF MATE?

i went back to my first save after getting very far in the game. Then i beat every main quest on my old save up to the 3rd oblivion gate. Then yesturday i had to return the game because i rented it

. It was a pretty good game but i wouldnt buy it and i might rent it again just to finish it.
