Went to my local EB and preordered it. Paid in full. The only thing that bumped me was that they are no longer taking preorders for the Collectors Ed

. I ended up buying the game guide as well. I'm reading it right now. Has anyone been able to preorder the Coll Ed at a local EB or any other store???

I work in the electronics department at my city's ShopKo, so I get to unpack games and movies a few days before they're released to the public. Unfortunately, though, I haven't come across Oblivion, as it obviously hasn't been shipped from Bethesda yet.

Because we don't have a software pre-ordering system in place, I am almost guaranteed a copy of it on release day

But, if anyone really cares, I can report when the game is actually in the store.

Went in to EBGames yesterday to snag my players guide and double check on when I can pick it up. Come to find out, they never upgraded my pre-order to the CE like I had requested, and it was too late to do it now. I guess it's the regular edition for me. Too bad, I was hoping to be thrust into the realms of uber-geekdom with my own shiny septum coin.

I asked them when they opened on Tuesday so I could come in and snag my copy. They replied that they open at 10am, but shipments don't come in till 12-1pm. Looks like I'll be going to work on Tuesday now.
