Here is a good example of what I mean by spreading them apart.

The pictures.

Just click on the same three pics, and see the true beauty.

of these pictures i think the following look bad
http://www.elderscro...x360/obx20B.jpg
http://www.elderscro...x360/obx15B.jpg
http://www.elderscro...x360/obx13B.jpg (debateable)
http://www.elderscro...x360/obx09B.jpg (the monster looks no where near as detailed as the original pc shot, while it might be LOD thats WAY to much detail lose at that range)
+ the 3 new ones

but of the pc shots not one of them look below par or even just good enough, infact i still find all the pc shots amazing, except one or two that still i dont mind and dont look as bad as the 360s fighters guild (after of course not considering no shadows)
my favorite shots are
http://www.elderscro...pc/obliv27B.jpg (dude this zombie is p.i.m.p. )
http://www.elderscro...pc/obliv20B.jpg (love how the ground looks)
http://www.elderscro...pc/obliv16B.jpg (dude look at the sword smile.gif )
http://www.elderscro...pc/obliv13B.jpg (the damn fighters guild should have this much detail on the wall, excluding the wet look)
http://www.elderscro...pc/obliv11B.jpg (sword lighting again)

^please note non of these are 360 shots(favs list)

And comparing newer pics to older pics i see some significant changes as well.

Newest forest... bad?
Older forest... good?

And I know they are not the same settings but, the newer forest does look kinda weak, except in the very far background you can see a hill, that looks kinda like what im looking foreward to.

i agree the actual flower on the plants look amazing....but still they just look slapped onto the water

im usually pessimistic against all devolpers and i dont usually belive any of there footage, however i did trust bethsada, i dunno why...mabey its because there locals or im just stupid(probably both)

Now see, all the things you are pointing out that you like about the PC version... haven't been cut!  You are talking about simple bump mapping and specularity maps which will definatly be in the 360 version.  I can understand where you are coming from with the shadows, but I think this last batch of complaints are misdirected.  It's not that the PC version is better than the 360, it's that Bethesda's choice of screenshots for the PC version appeals to you more.

So, what the f*ck chuck. I can completely see now why the pc version is the way to go, If you can buy a

3 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
1 GB System RAM
ATI X800 series, NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series, or higher video card.

but I know for fact that there last recommended requirements shouldve actually been minimun requirements, so I bet these requirements are scrapping the surface of what we would actually want to use to run this game. Does anyone know the actual resources the pc has that Bethesada is using to run this game?

ps congrats on the big 1.5 thousandth post.

if indeed im wrong and my pc is capable of running this game maxed out with a good resolution and AA i would buy it for pc...considering maxed out doesnt look as poor as the 360 shots

and i have yet to see a 360 shot showing the detail of interiors like some of my fav pc shots, and you can probably tell why....they will be directly compared to the pc shots and for whatever reason will probably look much worse sending the bethsada forums and the rest of the internet into a massive flame war over it

ive noticed 360 hasnt shown anything even relevant to the dungeon shots with stone floor/walls that look amazing and thats way more then bothering to me cause i think thats the only place left graphically as far as the screenshots go that is impressive to me anymore

as much as i want to think im out of my mind i still want screenshots or a high quality video for 360 showing the interior areas of atleast one of my fav shots sad.gif

Ya, cause spending $500 on a GFX card so you can play 3 good games a year, hunched over your keyboard staring at a 19" monitor is so sweet....

No thanks, i'll take my couch, 46" of goodness, 5.1 ss and wireless controller that kicks ass. Have fun...enjoy your anritropic filtering (woop-dee-fucking-doo)

Not to mention you still haven't showed a single shot that shows ANY lack of ansitropic filtering. Do you even know what it is? You're such a fool...

Like we said 10 pages ago, go buy your $500 gpu and STFU no-one cares what you think. Especially when your too damn useless to give ANY screenshots to prove your point.

you>man pc shots look way better
us>lets see
you>i can't they haven't released em yet
us> there's shitloads on the site and they lok the same
you>umm but look at the lack of AS filtering!
us>lets see
you>look at any the screen
us>you're a fuckin idiot

for some reason..you're still posting.

here's a comparison shot, now if you can't look at these and get it through your skull that this is the exact same game, then you're just being stubborn.

IPB Image

thanks for flaiming, you can now remove the dick out of your ass and enjoy the rest of your life outside of this thread

oh and look beyond the face, mabey the wall behind it that looks like a morrowind wall after you install a high resolution texture pack?
just to humor myself, this shot lacks AF
IPB Image
as does this
IPB Image
and many more, but i had to satisfy you because your incapable of going to a webpage and clicking on a screenshot thumbnail

They need to work on the walls and the terrain, those can make a big difference.

Closed for the moment so I can take action.

Edit: Done, re-opened.  It'll be quieter in here now for a bit.  I clearly stated that this would need to be kept civil.  Those who chose to ingore that won't be posting for a few days.

NO FLAMING.  NO COUNTER-FLAMING.

I like a good debate, even if some opinions are generally considered off base or extreme.  But that ain't a crime.

Civility, or suspension.

just checking to see if facetiousness got me banned.

btw - anisotropic filtering aint all that, I see it in and not in action daily and the difference is minimal to say the least... FSAA has a MUCH more marked affect, could someone on here demostrate the differences they are attributing to AF and I'll see if I can work out what it is you're actually seeing.

I do not notice when there is no anisotropic filtering in a game when i'm actually playing the game.  When i stop to look at all the pretty colors, then it is noticable.

Anisotropic filtering....the way i understand it: textures in the distance stay in focus/high res, the same way as they look when up close.  They do not fade out as distance is increased.  It is very noticable in CoD2 for the 360 when you look at the side of buildings, and slowly increase your distance.  But only if you are looking for it.
