I'm sad, but Morrowind was delayed too.

Another game joining the 'delayed' bandwagon.

Something must've come up, because they said a month ago that they were done the game and tweaking/testing/tuning.

Yeah, apparently it's still holidays. Bethseda said they'd like more time, but time will just tell when the 'official' release date is.

I just read these posts and got a fuggin migraine.

which is it?

Holidays is NOT Q2 2006

so whats the deal? has the rumor been proven as just that?

If it hits anywhere near splinter 4 or gears, Im gonna have to pass on Oblivion. It, or the others will get ignored, and splinter and gears comes first. Maybe I'll pick it up a year or so and get it when theres a slow period.

And then theres recon 3 at that time too..

and tomb raider...

and I could go on and on...

Bethdesa's been starving us of information to the point of obsession, and three weeks before launch they delay it SIX FUCKING MONTHS!?  Whew...  Bad idea for publicity.  Lets hope this is false, but then again, it is Take-Two.

as sad as i am i cant complain.  as i have said for other games, i rather a dev take their time and release the title how they visioned it then a rushed half baked game.  all this means to me is that they can make a great game even better and that will sit well with me.  there are many other launch titles that can take the place of any of these delayed titles that it really doesnt bother me.

It was never going to be at launch, it was set for December 5th or 11th or something.

Anyone come across any proof at the Bethesda boards that this is indeed delayed to Q2 2006? I looked for an official statement and found nothing.

All the sites posted the news but Im still hoping for December sometime.

I know its like being stabbed in the heart but the game will only benefit with more time for optimization and tweaking. Looks like im switching one of my preorders to kameo instead
