Finally got shoutcast playlists working and xmbc's ftp, here's how:

first: edit XboxMediaCenter.xml

mine looks like this

<ipadres>192.168.0.69</ipadres>  #my xbox ip
<netmask>255.255.255.0</netmask>
<defaultgateway>192.168.0.1</defaultgateway> #my router ip
<nameserver>192.168.0.1</nameserver> #my router ip

<CDDBIpAddress>194.97.4.18</CDDBIpAddress> #preset

next: under settings/general be sure to have ftp and nameserver selected "on"

next: log onto your router and port forward (for my xbox ip 192.168.0.69) port 21

next: go to shoutcast.com on your pc, find a station you want, right click on the "listen now" button and save as playlist.pls on your pc.

next: i made a folder f:\playlists on my xbox sing flash fxp and edit XboxMediaCenter.xml to say this under :

    <bookmark>
   <name>Internet Radio</name>
   <path>F:\shoutcast</path>
   </bookmark>

next: ftp over the playlist.pls file to xbox f:\shoutcast

next load XBMC and under "my music" click on internet radio and Voila!

FTP and Shoutcast playlists work!
Hope this clears up any confusion ppl have been having.
