Change Password For User 'xbox' In Xbmc?
« on: March 07, 2004, 12:45:00 PM »

This is driving me fucking crazy! Why does XBMC (FileZilla) store the password as a hash???

<User Name="xbox">
<Option Name="Pass">3a3417f5f20a03a98973689887fb72a2</Option>

That is the original value in the filezilla config. The login is xbox/xbox.
I want to change the password to something else (so it matches my Avalaunch password, so I can simply have 1 entry in my ftp client). Now I tried simply putting the password I wnated into the field, but it doesn't work, it requires it to be in hash. Nowhere in XBMC can you change the password, so I'm pretty lost.

How on EARTH can this be done???  <

Md5 hash.

Get the MD5 hash for your new password there.

Thank you. I figured it would be a md5 hash after looking through the source of filezilla, so then I used the following site to generate the hash for my password:
