Are you kidding, I thought the geometries and textures were amazing. Go play NFS:MW then PGR3 then youll see what I mean.

I agree with him on this one go play NFS:MW , the slow down you get from time to time is terrible and the graphics are strecthed to make you look like you are going fast (to prove my point just stop ANYWHERE in the city and look at walls the textures are all stretched) PGR3 is a LAUNCH title and was started and continued on the ALPHA/BETA kits so hardware not running at the full potential of the 360, you will have to wait a couple of GEN for the games to really start to showcase the new console the the release batch.

just my 2 cents tongue.gif

just take a look at the giant 3d cities or bystanders in the background.  Tell me that that just doesnt look nice.  o ya, the cars look pretty sweet too.  tongue.gif  By far one of the best looking launch games in terms of looking like real life.

Sure there are some jaggies but that is mostly due to the developers not having enough time to run better AA and a higher resolution.

But unlike so many other developers and games, PGR3 still looks great and runs great (steady). So many of these launch games run like crap and/or look like crap. We'll just have to wait for the games that look truly amazing and run great aswell.

Though when you think about the last generation, time is no guarantee for polished framerates. So many of the xbox1 and ps2 games run like crap too, even some of the most recent ones with huge budgets. But inbetween the steaming piles of turd there are diamonds.

It's already been debated and proven over and over----the graphics in the final game of PGR3 are JJUST AS GOOD as anything they showed us before the game came out. Needless to say, in order to be dissapointed, you probably were in a big hype-phase, expecting some kind of life-changing graphics....which is simply unrealistic.

Mike, just curious, was there a difference between playing the game on your direct-view set as opposed to your plasma, and if so, which one was better?  I've heard that nothing really beats a HD CRT, as far as picture quality is concerned.

Yeah, there are still some jaggies, but it still looks very nice. Remember that the AA hasn't even been enabled in the launch games.

umm on sd the crt is better...but hd content or 360 they both look great...the plasma looks alot like a crt with its glossy crispness

i have one of the newest plasmas tho panny 50px50u...my 34 xbr is a 2001-02 model

they both look fantastic but i would give the edge to teh plasma on hd content
