Cvs Updates
« on: March 01, 2004, 08:33:00 AM »

Man, after trying to "aquire" the necessary "tools" to compile the latest cvs I've come to a roadblock.  Forgive me for any ignorance, but why aren't people uploading builds to xbins more often.  I just wish there was an easier way to update xbmc.  Nice app, but what a b*tch to update.  <

Well, think about it.  The devs have no control over when it will be released.  They dont even know WHO does it.  So they have no way of letting 'them' know that there are some fixes whatever in the latest CVS.  And if 'they' made themselves known, then theyd be in a sticky situation.  So, be gald we get what we do.    <

CVS logs all changes and there's a bugs.txt in cvs which gets updated so anyone can see when things are changed/fixed.  <

Looking for latestCVS ?

Well maybe ask your favourite animal (the one with long ears) if there is not a CVS dated from today :-)

God knows, maybe it could be named as follow :

XBMC-2004-03-02_TV_streamers.rar

Cheers

I did better than ask, I looked where I get all my XBMC releases at and there was nothing remotely close to that name.   <

Sigtom : too bad you do not have a friendly animal with long ears at hand, cause it would have given you what you asked. May be just ask him xbmc ? and you will find the file.

But sometimes you have to dare searching in new places...

ludo2 is talking about a file-sharing program called emule/edonkey.  <

Before this thread gets to silly, it's at the usual place, same as all the other XBMx CVS compiles (look up the list a bit).

Thank you Ludo & Gueux (and XBMC team).  <

its already silly, if you want more frequent compiles.. get the tools to do it yourself, else, you'll just have to wait!  <
