Well here is a review:

The game which is a PREQUEL to the original "Perfect Dark" for the Nintendo 64 wasn't bad as people are saying out there. There are the pros and the cons to the game, some cons can get on your nerves sometimes but if you can handle them you should be fine.

Single Player

 - The game has a great single player but not a good story behind it. There is plenty of action specially when you get to the godamn jungle level which is infested with soldiers. Also the AI isn't terrible, the only thing that sucks is that most of the time when you aim at them they know where you are and they will shoot you back. Another funny thing is that it doesn't matter where you hide, if they spotted you they are going after you. If you are playing the game in Perfect or Dark Agent you cannot just run n' gun because you will get shot down in the first minute. You can interact with a lot of things in the game, like blowing up walls to prevent from people following you. Locking doors so your enemies can't follow you.  If you really want a challenge play Perfect Agent I will guarantee you that it will not be easy. Like I mentioned earlier the only thing that sucks about single player is the story line which is not very good.

CO-OP

 - Join up with a second player, either Locally (attach another controller), via System Link or via Xbox Live. Just like single player but a lot of fun. Missions require helping each other you can't run on solo and be the hero.

Multiplayer

DarkOps

 - Sabotage: Go to the enemies base and destroy their equipment to win
 - Infection: Infected players (skeleton body) must kill human players and they become infected, sometimes it turns sometimes into 31 vs. 1 which is a lot of fun because you have to hide without being seen.
 - Eradication: Kill other players with tactics
 - Onslaugh: Kill other players while they guard their base.

Deathmatch

 - Killcount (Slayer)
 - Team Killcount (Team Slayer)

Overall

It offers a lot of things in multiplayer, great hiding spots, good multiplayer modes. Biggest complaint is that the sniper is not very good. Reloding looks cool but some weapons are SLOW as hell....

Graphics

Characters look ugly when you get close to them but everything else looks awesome.

Controls

If you are a Halo Junkie they are kind of familiar but takes a while to get used to and its kind of hard to aim.

Overall 8/10

Pros

Awesome gameplay, plenty of action and it will keep you busy for a good couple of days. I recommend this game.

Cons

Biggest complaint is the slow as hell reloads, you get killed while you reload, another complaint is how the characters looks. Poor story line and missions can get frustrating at times. Final Complaint no jumping...

i think its a fair statement. though reloading isnt that bad, id almost go as far as saying its closer to realistic, thats why you cant go firing off too many spray and pray rounds or else youll get owned on the reload. definately a more precision shooter game

Hardened and Veteran and much harder than what youre playing on, veteran is down right insane. The first CoD has nothing on this sequel.

Do you have 5.1? if not, get it just for CoD 2. Its all about the sound.

I was about to laugh when I read "it isn't as intense as the first CoD" but then I read "I might have to play it on Hardened or Veteran" and I was like ...oh ok, that explains why.

Yeah, you need to definetally play on Hardend at least. Its way better and a little more of a challenge....thats why its not as good.

I bought PDZ 1 week after launhc played the first level and a half, and then sold it

Recently I was bored so i decided to rent it (since there are so mnay awesome reviews for it) I played the first 2-3 stupid levels until i got to the rooftop level. Then the game started to become interesting, now I am at the cam spy mission in the jungle and this game ROCKS , I still like COD2 better, but not by much. And now I understand the game more, online is the best game ever on a console to date

So for all of you who hate it, force yourself to play the first 3 missions, terrible ... then the game truley is addictive and best graphics

I'm by no means an FPS fan, in fact <flame suit>I don't even like Halo that much</flame suit>

when I first played PDZ it felt kind of slow and boring, the menus didn't flow well and a lot of times it was difficult to get Jo to do what you wanted her to do. I had really only bought the game as something my friends and I could play when they were over.

I pretty much set it aside and started playing the other launch titles I got, Condemned and PGR3. I recently had a friend over and we played a few games and then he wanted to see PDZ so we fired it up and started Co-Op, after about an hour it's my new favorite FPS. Once you get into the groove of the game it's very addictive and very fun to play.

It's NOT Halo, it's NOT Doom, and it's not HalfLife or CounterStrike

I think too many FPS junkies are just expecting to pick it up and have the same old game with better graphics and a good story... well it's not, approach it as if it's not even an FPS and just learn to play it before you pass judgment.

The MP with lots of people (up to 32) is always nice and smooth, no lag for me at all no matter how big, and team matches with that many people are loads of fun. I like it as much as halo 2's MP and will be playing it a lot. Love it. The MP kicks ass. I think some of the people who don't like it play the first 2 levles in SP and maybe get matched in a crappy pistol match in xbl for a second and think it sucks. I thought it wasn't good at first because of stuff like that but after I played XBL a lot I played various things and loved it. The SP is okay after you go through it but it's annoying protecting Jack and crap so its not that great, but the MP really gives this game its awesomeness tongue.gif

My opinion of PDZ so far ISN'T good, the n64 version was definitive and this doesnt even come close. The weapon moddeling does look nice but thats about it. As mentioned earlier the health system is stupid, it takes ages to kill anyone even with point blank shotgun. The online aspect is slow and boring and the AI is absolutly useless. I havent looked at all the online options but if there isnt an ability to speed the game up then im gonna complete it and swap it for something else.

The only reason i got it was because I had completed COD2 and its online experience was terrable. Every game lagged. Swapped it for PDZ. Brought COD2 on PC instead with 64 players online.

In fact i dont think i will get anything now till Ghost Recon. I hope that game is just as good as the hype surrounding it! <sometimes too much hype isnt a good thing sad.gif)

I personally loved the game so far.  The multiplayer is awesome in my opinion.  Much better than Halo 2 or COD2 and all my friends agree.  The single player sucks for the first 2-3 missions but is awesome after that.  I love the weapon selection, the controls, and the ablity to play with bots.  My only complaint is the missing jump button but even that isnt that bad.
