How Do I Install The New Version Of Xmc?

Someone else did the older version for me, so I don't know the specifics on how to install the new one over the old one, do I just replace files? Will it have anything to do with anything else on my Xbox HDD? Just an update? I don't want any files being erased by accident or anything.  <

just erase the old xbmc folder and put in the new one  <
