MS doesnt have the history in the industry that nintendo has

so? atleast Ms not like nintendo where their history is the only thing they have left.

with halo1 atleast they had a video at the E3 prior to launch. they showed more of halo then they are of PDZ. again how can they generate hype if there is nothing to hype about?? even though i didnt care for the first one i want this one to turn out great, however i dont see MS playing it smart with a game that has this much potential to gain so much more attention

That is ridiculous, I said its the sequel to one of the best fps' of all time! dont tell me there is nothing to hype about. Not because You didnt care for the first one doesnt mean other people dont care enough to check it out at launch.

Most of ms' employees have been playing wip builds of the game and they all seem positive about what they have seen. Im looking at that and saying that I understand what theyre doing; yes there isnt a million new stories and trailers on the net (like GoW which is not even a launch title) because they dont want to let the cat out bag. They think its good enough to sell without that sort of hype machine.

Whoaw, have you actually seen any brochures MS has published? PDZ is hyped to the max in printed media, every time I see x360 promotion stuff from MS, there's always that same old image of Joanna.

Sure, it's a cute face - but I'm really growing bored seeing that mugshot all the time instead of actual screenshots.

Them promoting the joanna character doesnt necessarily mean theyre hyping the game. Theyre trying to get her to be a recognizable character since nintendo didnt do it. For those that dont know perfect datk they will see here face alot and wanna check out the game but for hardcore enthusiasts (those who know the history of the game) dont need screenshots and movies to know that this game is gonna be good.

In the words of a dope MC,
"Dope sells itself"....

Halo had the opposite of hype going for it on launch day as most thought the game was going to be crap since it's E3 showing was very weak.
And what do you know, the game turns out to be one of the best of all time and that alone propels it to the top.

If PDZ is any where near as good as Halo was then it will need no pre-hype.
People will do the hyping once they play it.

Hell it would be pretty funny if the game delivers and it turns out a lot better than what we expected, judging from what we had previously seen.
I'll be the first to yell "Conspiracy Theory! Rare and M$ lead us all to believe PDZ was going to suck only to surprise us with a great game in the end!"

Smartest shit ive heard so far......
