I haven't played any of the PD games, but are they supposed to look a little cartoonish/unrealistic? It seems that if they were going for realistic they could of succeeded with the power of the 360.

at first i didnt really care much for this game but the closer were coming to launch the more im keeping my eye on it.  i played the original and really didnt like it, after playing and loving goldeneye i was expecting more.  however i think that the game was ahead of its time and running on hardware that couldnt do the game justice: bad framerate, muddy graphics(even for N64), and audio that made me want to cry.  i did see potential in the game and if developed on better hardware it would have made a better impression.  looking forward to seeing what rare could do with the right hardware.

i thought the N64 ran goldeneye just fine, the game was gorgeous, sharp, and detailed for a N64 game.  when they added all the effects and such to the goldeneye engine for perfect dark i think they went too far and the N64 couldnt keep up.

i know their basically the same type of game and running on the same engine but i couldnt stand perfect dark because of the technical drawbacks.  on the other hand i loved goldeneye and was really impressed with its visual clarity, especially for the N64 where its AA made everything an ugly blur.

for all those people who say that graphics dont count i say look at PD as an example and you will see how bad graphics can make a game unplayable (to me atleast).  i would rather have the clarity of goldeneye instead of the effects they added.  it was pointless anyways because the game ran like such ass you couldnt even notice any added effects.

thats the only game I liked on N64, played 4 player for about a montn and unloaded it.

Prox mines were the best!!

Id put them om those ammo cans, and watch my friends walk up to them and try not to chuckles knowing what was about to happen.

or on armor...hahaha. or on steps going down, knowing theyd come chase me

BOOM!!!

Kage I don't remember PD looking that bad.
Yes it wasn't as smooth as Goldeneye but it did look better, and it was still very playable. Perhaps you played it with out the ram cartridge?

The only time when PD wouldn't run as smooth as GOldeneye (And I still play it every week to this day) is when there is 4 players and some explosions going on.

That's all.

I can't play Goldeneye anymore after PLaying PD.  It's a good game but PD has everything that was good about Goldeneye and then makes it better.
