Problems With Wav And Flac
« on: February 24, 2004, 10:28:00 PM »

Hi,
I am relatively new to xbmc so forgive me if I going over old ground!  I am having problems playing wav and flac files.  All wav files I have tried on cd or hd stutter very badly.  Flacs seem to be OK from hd but have slight pauses every 20 secs or so from cd/dvd.  Might be a buffer problem but I can't find any way to increase it.  Is there a cachesize option as in xbmp?

Thanks

If you can compile XBMC yourself, the ability to change the cache is in the CVS.

If you aren't compiling your own, which I am assuming is the case, then chances are very good that the version of XBMC you are using does not have the new cache settings.

I guess you'll have to wait for a new version of XBMC to become available (or of course build the binary yourself).

Later,

Ts

That sounds exactly like my problem which is with the Feb 12th release. I keep thinking we'll see a release shortly so I'm holding steady.

Are you saying that this has been addressed already in a CVS? If so, great! The next build should have it.

I just don't want to get involved in compiling code.   <
