I was using XBMC (xbox media center) and in one of the menues on the lower left there were three colored small balls red green and orange i think i clicked on the red one and my xbox shut off! after that i went to restart it and all my xbox did was load the bios and shutoff over and over never stopping. I erased the HD and started over, and it still just restarts with the newest ver of evox, the same on i used earlier and worked fine. now it wont play games, dvd's any hombrew, any apps, or the msdash.....

Any ideas? I would be really greatfull for the help i have searched everywhere online and i see no one with the same problem....

I have the same thing where my 'box only reboots over and over again. I just turn it off and pick a side up about 5 inches off the ground and drop it and turn it on and it works. I just think I have a bad solder connection in mine. You should check that out just in case too. <

Yeah i will check that, but i seriously doupt it cause i never moved my box it just stopped working after XBMC turned it off...
So i dont know <

I know it's not much of a help, but all that red ball does is turn off the xbox, same as if you press the power button, i have never heard of it causing anyone problems before, i suspect it's just an unhappy co-incidence.... like the chappie above said, maybe a bad solder, or a faulty xbox?

What the "red ball" does is the same thing as the Turn Off option in evo-x does, It shut´s the xbox off...

And no, that the xbox wont turn on isn´t a xbmc issue, it sounds more like a clock loop (like you would get with exploits)

So, do you have a modchip or do you use exploits? <

Did you screw around with any NTSC/PAL settings? I did, then when I rebooted nothing worked. Took me a little while to get it back up & running, but it's fine now. <

i have an executer 2.3b pro and i did play with the ntsc settings but i changed it to ntsc j instaerd of normal ntsc
