Dvb-t .ts File Playback?
« on: February 18, 2004, 07:36:00 PM »

Hi all,

Does XBMC (or XBMP for that matter) play back DVB-T files at all?  I've got some Transport Stream MPEG2 PAL video that I've recorded on my PC which I'd like to be able to play back through the XBOX, but it doesn't appear to work.

My original video source is 1024x576 (interlaced, I think) PAL DVB-T Transport Stream MPEG2 (file extension is MPG) and they play fine on my PC.

Is it possibly because the video resolution is above what the XBOX can display? (ie: 1024x576)  I've also downloaed an NTSC HD trailer for THE ALAMO (1280x720progressive) which doesn't play.

So is it a resolution or a CODEC issue?

Many thanks for any comments or help,

Hmm it´s MPEG2 yes.
But in a TS you can have several PS (program streams) as far as i remeber.

In other words you probably need to have a codec that will let you choose
the things that are in the TS file.

On the other hand it should play back i would have guessed.
Since it is just mpeg2.  <
