And if i dont boot it up with chip, i get an error 21 message.

It goes through the animation, the blue (or green) X comes up...waits for about 2 seconds...then reboots and does it all over again...and again....and again.

So whats this mean?!??! Dammit, my xbox MOBO allready fried b4, i've spent too much money on this thing...

So whats this mean? How do i fix it? Is my HDD dead? Or mobo?

at first i thought something was wrong with mobo and it was shorting out somewhere, but that wouldnt make any sense, because it reboots at the exact same time all the time. Which makes me think its a software thing.

Maybe the bios is screwed? If so how do i fix it.

I really dont have a clue, please help!

Btw, i have an alladin advance 64+ modchip, and to turn on with modchip you press for 1 second, turn on without modchip you just tap the power button.

I have EVOX as my modchip boot dash, and the normal MS dash for non modchip boots. And i have an 80 GB hdd. And Samsung DVD...oh and I also tried disconecting all the cables and reconnecting them all. Didnt help.

EDIT: I made an evox boot disc, and it booted to that. Now i'm still not sure if my HDD is screwed, and i dont dare find out, because i'm not selecting "Prepare hdd" as that would wipe everything.

So is there a way i can preserve everything? Should i "flash" the chip? Or would that do nothing.

If you can boot into evox, ftp into your xbox and see if any files are missing or if there any files there that shouldn't be there.

It could also be the power supply, but I may be wrong.
