We’re playing the next batch of DLC. This first trio has been very well received. Eventually your Halo experience will be so swollen and engorged that you’ll have a hard time even remembering what the original map selection was. In the future, we’ll be bringing you more fully custom built maps and they may include one or more of the following:

·         Symmetrical arena maps for competitive play.

·         Returning classics demanded by the fans.

·         Crazy new stuff you never expected.

·         Unusual maps with lots of potential for interesting game types.

·         Graphically spectacular settings.

·         More Forge objects to use on new maps.

·         Surprises.

As assumed there's new DLC Bungie is already working on. I'm definitely pleased that they'll be bringing back some "classics", hopefully something along the lines of Sidewinder and Hang Em High. Arena maps sort of sticks out to me, reminds me of old Quake or Unreal days, a lot less strategy, a lot more fragging. Bungie has stated that the most recent set of maps and updates are going to be made free sometime during the spring, so expect that on that day this new batch of DLC will drop.

Hangum and SW would be great, along with damnation.  I love Halo 1.

I agree, I'm a huge Halo 1 fan. It's been so long though, I completely forgot about damnation. I'll probably have to pop Halo 1 back in for some quick fun.

By the way, anyone have any idea if there has been any talk over fixing  the melee system? I remember awhile ago Bungie acknowledged that it was something they were displeased with after hearing that so many players hated it. I can only hope they do some sort of tweaking, but it's just not as fun as seeing two corpses fall to the ground after you and someone else melee eachother.

Heh, fix what in the melee system? Two people run and shoot at each other, then melee each other. One of them is gonna die. The one that dies gets angry at the game. Simple.

I've heard of these "melee problems" and have witnessed people with my own two eyes get frustrated. Yes, I've had my share of lost melee battles, and... well... what did you expect? To win every one?

Maybe my point didn't get across? Play Halo 1 or even Halo 2 with a friend. Shoot eachother with a sniper in the chest, then run up and melee eachother simultaneously. Now, go do that in Halo 3 and see what happens. If you still don't understand what I mean, how many times have you seen..

If by "win every one" you mean "not get  punched to death by somone I just punched to death... um yes...

You do realize the melee glitch effectively is a dead guy killing another guy then not being dead right?

I don't call that a glitch, I call that lag.

It's not a glitch, it's not lag, it's the actual melee system implemented in the game that needs to be changed.
